me to, i could like to get some feedback on this, it strikes me that all the little ricers do it and i always thought turbos liked BIG exhausts, another reason for me is , im convinced that as the turbo diesels rear mufflers input and output exhaust at the same end of the muffler ( front) that the muffler fills up with soot when you are just pottering around and then when you give it a blast thats where all the black soot out the back comes from.
so in my mind a less restrictive flow through muffler may well be a good thing. i cant see why it would need a remap, i would think there is enough adjustability in the system to cover it. i would however certainly like to hear from someone with experience in this area |

well from what iv read with a remap and rear boxes changed the 3.0D is pulling 625 nm which is mind blowing and sounds awsome theres a few vids on you tube, but from what i understand on my old deisel i had when i changed the exhaust the turbo spooled up to much there wasnt enough back pressure so i had it have it remapped and that sorted it out

hmm, i not looking for to much more power , however i do feel that my facelift e53 starts to run out of puff at around 150 kmph when overtaking ( on a closed circuit of course, not public road) i would like more get up and go around the 4000rpm
however I'm lead to believe that the ZF trans is pretty much at its limit a 500nm. so while 625 would sure be fun, the question would be for how long |
