BMW just told me i need a new subframe.. 7500$

Insurance companys will send out someone to inspect the vehicle and discuss the estimate with the tech and service advisor. They also take pictures. Now, your estimate is so high because BMW tells us what to replace if something like that happens. I bet replacing the steering rack is on there, isnt it? Plus, you wrecked the car, so the tech is just covering his butt if something failed down the road. But what gets replaced is determined by insurance adjuster. Happens weekly at my dealership. Theyre actually really cool guys (for most part) that have no problem paying for repairs I recommend because most of them have worked on or around cars before. I recommend repairing it.b
