Hey Twinturbo..i checked out the e53 on the shop i was telling you...its sold....it was a 3.0i tho.....i think youre in the 4.8is section now..lol....ill keep looking ...lol.

WOW. I appreciate all of your help guys!!! I really do!. Lets see how good my brain is. Ok so that Red on Red is just too much. Was that Red Int a factory option or was that dyed? In either case, Don't want Imola Red. That Imola Red 4.8is also looks good, but again Don't want Imola Red and it is out of my price range.

That Silver 4.6 at the BMW dealership it also good. Good price and looks good, but it is Titanium Silver.

Now that '05 4.8is looks good. I could do that. Now Naz is that public price or is this going through auction.

Ok so since a lot of you guys are helping me out, just so it is uniform and not wasting anyones time or want to piss anyone off because I am not loving all of these 4.6/4.8's out there meanwhile you guys are spending time out of your day for me, here is my criteria.

Late '02 - '03 4.6is Sapphire Black with Black Interior. Should be loaded, I have only seen 1 without NAV. Mileage, under 125K miles.

'05 - '06 4.8is Sapphire Blk with Black interior or Even LeMans Blue with Black Interior. Again, should be loaded, only seen a handfull without Nav. Mileage under 125K miles.

Now for both of these, they have to be Under $20K in the price tag.

Heres the deal with the 4.8is i found from florida. On manheim, theres a separate dealer only sale site called OVE.com. That blk 4.8is was found on OVE, but they are also listed on dealers websites. On OVE, it is only about 400 bucks cheaper, so i assume its better to just negotiate from dealer and buy through them... I'm might be in sarasota next weekend, but i doubt i will be able to make it all the way to orlando

Should i make a call out to the dealer (as a dealer) to see what the deal is with it?

I think you are underestimating the difficulty of finding a car in your parameters. If only 2800 4.6s left the assembly line, in 4 colors, assuming they made 25% of them in each color (unlikely but run with it), that leaves 700 black 4.6s. Since you want "late" model that leaves maybe 500. With black interior and loaded? Maybe 300 rolled off the factory line that way, of those maybe 200 are left and 100 not worthy of purchase.

It would seem as though you better wait a very long time for the exact truck you want, or start making sacrifices where you can.

As far as the 4.8 I have no idea on the rarity, but again, isolating yourself to one color and a select list of options means you are going to have to wait a very long time or be prepared to buy one that comes up for sale at full price within 24 hours of it being listed.

Yeah... Ummm... I don't have 6 years. lol. But I am also not in a huge rush. I settled on the Audi for the Red, but now I want what I want. So I search high and low and see what happens.

But again, getting the usual. Saw a 03 4.6is is Hempstead, NY. Looked promising and the price was ok. Called got the VIN, looked into the options and such and ran a carfax. It was totaled. 3 accidents, structural damage. I haven't seen so many ! on a carfax in a long time. Called the owner, has no idea about it. Even thought he said he was the 2nd owner (It stated 4 owners) and didn't have any accidents. (To his knowledge!) Bingo!!!

So back to the grind. yay!!!
