What is the deal AC shooting Water droplets out of the vents.

My AC blows warm air, its not ice cold like it used to be. its not really much colder than the hot air outside. It does blow cooler air on the driver side than the passenger side. Once in a while it shoots water droplets out of the vents and i swear I think I saw it shoot ice out once. I heard/felt the ice more than I saw it. Something hit me in the face from the vent while i was driving and I swear i saw little bits of ice. Anyhow, i was thinking of recharging the AC w/freon but what is the deal with the ICE and Water if this thing can make ice why is it blowing hot?

thanks for the input,

If you are making ice it's not likely that you need a recharge.
I wonder if there is a thermal expansion valve freezing up and not allowing the pressures to shift (hi/low).

The ice was like a one time thing. Where is this thermal expansion valve and how do I check on it?

It may be that the condensation from the evaporator is not draining out very well. And blowing out the vent. I would check to see if the drain is clogged

I would second that, definitely check the condensate drain in the evaporator, if its clogged you can catch some nasty diseases from the stagnant water collecting in there.
