I can't recall all the details. I believe I made a pigtail to not F with the factory harness.

Nope Depo takes the same connector as stock, I'm sure of it, look at pics below, same horizontal pins. I'm just going to get the 4 pins, and 2 connectors and cut off the stock H11 plug, no sense in keeping the factory wiring as I'll be getting rid of the reflector fogs anyway, lens is full of pits from 10 years on the road, etc.

Alright T I ordered these today, along with H3 xenonmatch bulbs. $113 shipped for the pair of housings is pretty reasonable, I know they used to sell for more a few years back.

I chickened out, I'm going to order the 4 bushing contacts from the dealer with the wire lead pre-crimped and grommet installed, along with the 2 socket connectors, and I also picked up 2 male H11 connectors from Ebay for 5 bucks which I will crimp on the wire leads from BMW, and make my own "BMW socket to H11 male" pigtail, for a nice clean install that is reversible if ever someone were to want to return to the reflector H11 fogs in the future. No stock wiring modification.

this is even better... if you keep the free-forms, and reinstall them back onto the car before you sell this one and get yourself an X5M\\\ but, i think the M did not have fog lights in one of the iterations... i could be wrong...

What I really want is an LCI E70 diesel with Premium, Navigation, and M sport package, I can dream can't I? The mean look of a sport E70, combined with almost 30 mpg highway Now that would be amazing!

here is a recently uncovered info on the airduct tube that is located by the right front fog light - it seems to be unique to 4.8iS, even though i am not so sure about that tube's uniqueness - will need some 4.4 owners of facelifted N62 to chime in...

Intake Silencer
On account of the higher intake capacity at high engine speeds the flow characteristics of
the intake silencer have been optimized for the N62B48 and the silencer has been
additionally equipped with a second intake snorkel. This intake snorkel is active in the
area of the righthand fog light. The second intake snorkel does not have a negative
effect on the fording depth. The second intake snorkel draws in additional air only when
the engine is running at high load and speed. The main volume of air is drawn in via the
sound absorption cover (3).
