I have also not had good results with the Mothers Back to Black on exterior trim. Will try that 3M Restore Black you mention dkl.

The restore black is unobtainable.

If anyone has a place to get it please don't hesitate to let me know.

Brad

I found what appears to be an alternate/equivalent and ordered it. I'll let everyone know how it works.

I've had good luck with Griot's Black Shine Trim Restorer.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Looks like a few good choices. Griot's has some nice stuff.

I applied the stuff I found that is an alternative. It works. It definitely takes the plastic back to black like new. Unfortunately, it leaves brush marks. I put two coats on to try to level them out. It helped some, but not totally. I may try buffing it to see if that makes a difference. I'd post pictures, but when I try it asks for a URL.

Post them as attachments. Pics will probably have to be resized though.

Tried that. It gives me an error message saying I'm missing a security token.

I think I got photos to work now. Here's some before and after. It will be interesting to see how long this stuff lasts as the truck isn't garaged and it's my daily.
