That's is my air display up top. I should really get on finishing off the sides one of these days... As for the overall look, my efforts went to give it a more aggressive road presence while still differentiating it from a 4.8, both inside and out.

X5SND, thanks for the write up. I need to remove my headliner to access my pano roof to check why its rattling. Appreciate the pics/description. I'm going to assume its 99% as same for my x5, just more screws/clips around the pano, and a few other odd differences. looking forward to getting to the bottom of this rattle.

You're welcome, Glad it can be of some use! Hopefully someone with a pano-roof who has had to remove the headliner will be able to fill in the gaps.

X5SND, the removal sets for the Pano roof are exact same as your write up, just a larger hole for sunroof and therefore more "snaps" to unclip/clip. Easy to do, once all the accessories are finally off the roof, holy cow.

Updated the guide to include the new info, and changed the first post to hopefully make it easier for other members to find! Thanks again for the additional info!

Clockwork - would you mind giving some additional detail on the clips for the pano roof? I looked up the number but I am not getting a picture. I'd like to know how they are designed to come free and how likely they are to self destruct in trying to get them free. Also I have no idea where those for torque screws are. Are they hidden by something or require the headliner to be pulled a way a bit or do I just need to look better?
Also can this be done with the pano closed?? That is probably the biggest question. The rest of the process sounds pretty straight forward. I'm kind of bored waiting for my pano repair kits to come some I'm trying to make sure I'm familiar with this process beforehand

I'm seeing some headliner fabric from foam separation on the sunroof slider.
Can that panel be removed without taking the entire roof liner out?

Mine came off completely on my pano roof sliding part. I fixed it on the spot with spray adhesive. Biggest bitch is I had some minor bleed through as stated above. Only in the corners. No one will really ever notice, except me, and it drives me nuts. Just don't spray too much at once.
