I would advise against a trans flush in any auto trans. Just drain and fill.

ebay rates are ~350usd. dont know yet here in the UAE.

noted on the trans flush.

Makes me wonder anyway, how come my battery light doesnt go off. The manual says it has to go off if alternator is not charging the battery !!

Thanks!
Weird that your light doesn't come on. Does it come on during startup? Maybe it is burnt out?

The battery light does not always go off. I have seen very few people with Alternator issues, or battery issues have the light turn on before some other message, like trans fail-safe. As a matter of fact, when I killed my battery running diagnostics, when I started the car, trans-fail-safe came on. No battery light.

Might be another bug?

Anyway, X is up and running now! the alternator was replaced at $550 including labor.

Now, it's time to look at another issue ! A noise when shifting from 2-3 gear!!!
