Angel Eyes Rings , Where to buy and install ? Worth installing?

I have the 2003 Bmw x5 4.6is with hid headlights,

and i want to add the angel eyes rings to it ,i did some reading on this forum, and search engines, youtube, but still little confuse ,in what to get .

I just want to make sure if i do buy some and install, nothing will overheat or they my get burned fast,or other surprises !

So i am asking the pro's here that did this alraidy ,what will be best rings to get and how to install ,some guide if any in exactly how to do it?!, and maybe having them running with the daylight option.

found few rings over ebay:

option1 : E53 X5 00-03 BMW CCFL ANGEL EYES 7000K SUPER BRIGHT,
about 46$

option2: here

and also it maybe other options,

can anyone offer some advice where to begin ? what is best?

i dont want to change the hole head light ,just want to add the rings to it,and to make sure they dont heat up or give me other errors, kill battery or other obc error codes.

thanks for help!
regards,
misu

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
you have a 2003 so you cannot bake open those headlights as the 00-02 models, Hella switched to "permaseal" windshield adhesive late 02 I believe.

Check the small little dial on the top of the headlight, it will have an arrow pointing to month and the year in the middle, check the date on it but if you have 03 its a 95% chance you have the unopenable headlights.

Best bet is to buy the Depo units with D2S and angel eyes already installed, or try to find a set of used 00-02 xenons and sell your stock ones to recoup the cost.

Personally, mine are in great shape as far as the lens goes and I didnt want to buy "older" headlights, so I'm just keeping mine in pristine shape and when I can pony up 560 bucks for the Depos I might do it.

But I have a mortgage, so I probably will just keep my stockers.

hi,

the arrow has a 0 and a 3 by the arrow ,left and right, and is pointing to 5.

and i think you can open them as i see the clear plastic ears that locks into head light case, the x5 was made in july 2003.

also see this pictures:

what you think?

thanks
regards.

I was going to upgrade my old 2001 x5 halogens with complete online headlights. For about $300 with the canceller. Not bad, look great for HID with angel eyes.
