It takes much less than 1A to stop your heart. Even 100mA can do it.
Get 12000k bulbs; they're purple already.

I received the bulbs and now trying to figure out what needs to be removed to put bulbs in. I looked in the article section but couldn't find help for my 2006 x5.
Looks like there are 3 torx screws that hold the back cover on. |

There's actually 4 on the back cover. But here's how to do it:
Remove the 4 screws for the housing. Two are up top right up front the other two are bottom back of the housing. Wiggle housing forward. Remove 4 torx screws on the housing back. Unplug cable from igniter, and twist out. Reverse this for assembly!
