Anyone successfully installed an extended front driveshaft

Without taking out the transfer case? I'm 1/4 inch too long to slide it in and really don't want (or should) tap it in. Any tricks to this? Thanks!

Don't you slide in the transfer case end in first, then align up the giubo? That's how I've always imagined it would work. The extra length on the extended shaft is in the splined section only, isn't it?

I did it without having to do anything to the transfer case. I wanna say what i did was take the rubber guibo out then slide the transfer case side in first then at the same time put the quibo back and it should go in.

However if you do have to touch the transfer case....you can reach all the bolts and simple loosen them but do not remove them and you can slide it back just a tad to give you the extra room and bolt it back up.
