The slip ring i understand perfectly

The 3rd pic where it looks like they are melted the wires are spliced together and capped off with shrinkwrap which all looks factory to me
By too short i meen the wires exiting the wheel and thumb switch are to xhort to touch each other or the slipring look at pic 3
2 conecters exit the new thumb switches

Ok i got the clock spring and i took a heated wheel chip/module from a 7srries 4 spoke heated wheel, my new wheel doesnt heat up, the led lights up but no heating

I put direct power to my wheel and it does get hot so ther is something wrong with the heated wheel module..... I guess i gata get the module from a newer wheel

Did you add the fuse and relay? That's pretty much all required to power the wheel heater.
