If the power steering pump was operated when it was low on fluid or empty (when you failed the line) then the pump could be damaged. It would need to be replaced if that is the case.

When you go to full lock the pump is being loaded up. Usually it sounds different due to a valve relieving pressure. If there is some latent pump damage it could be louder in that operating mode.

Other thing that can make noise at full lock is the belt, make sure it isn't that.

Took it back to Indie , he said it was the PS pump or fluid related issue. I had ordered fluid from ECS Tuning. he , however, put dextron III as the cap reads "ATF" which i believe was right choice.

do I need to put a different fluid or is my PS pump failing?

thanks as always!

i have the same problem, did you end up finding the solution to the problem? and does your steering fluid smell weird also? like burning of some sort? But i actually think we just need to change the fluid from not changing over time or somthing. But let me know what happened, very interested.

Have you had an experience removing the rear mounting bolt on the pump? The two front bolts are a breeze, the rear one....I wish my arm had an extra joint.
Thanks!

Not on this vehicle, no. Sorry. Others may have and can chime in.

after doing the fluid drain/fill, the vehicle's front wheels should NOT be touching anything, allowing them to be hanging.
When the car is started for first time after a flush/fill (cause of PS pump replacement, or lines replacement or what ever) turn the steering lock to lock a few times and allow the fluid to fully envade the system.
If the wheels are on the ground (or a hoist ramp or something that can cause resistance), that will put a LOT of pressure on the PS pump shaft and its been known to break that shaft (even is its a new pump).
So ask the indie if when he started the car and turned the steering wheel, was the car on the ground or sitting on a hoist's ramp as he turned the wheels (to circulate the fluid through the system)?
If so, he may have stressed your PS pump to the point of almost failure.

ok so I got it done and this may help others, as I didnt find anything related to the pump removal on 4.4i:

There are 3 bolts holding it to the engine. The rear one is accessable from under drivers side, however you will need to move the air pipe that runs from the bottom of the radiator area to pump/alt area to provide more air for cooling, I guess...With that out of the way, I was able to reach the rear bolt with a 13mm wrench.
