Upgrades to the 4.6is

I have not been logged in a very long time...over a year in fact. But I just added a few new things to my ride. I had a local shop install a Pioneer AVIC Z150BH, Audison Bit One digital processor and Depo HID headlights. The stereo upgrades were added to the hertz speakers, Hertz woofer and Diamond Amps I installed years ago. The head unit is a nice upgrade with all of the features but the Bit One is amazing. The Depo headlights also add a nice facelift to the E53, the angel eyes are super bright. I am happy all the way around!

Thanks glad to be back...after a rebuilt trany, valve cover gaskets and timing chain service, etc. My X5 has been though a lot with only 110k on the clock but I never get tired of driving it!

Oi a tranny rebuild and timing chain service? Well hopefuly you caught the chain guides in time and there wasn't much damage. 110 on the clock? She's got a lot of life left in her.

Pics are coming :-) ...the guides were not damaged at all but the valve gaskets were leaking oil so I figured the chain service should be done while there were in there...the mass air was also cleaned and now the X runs like a raped ape.

Hahaha, I'm stealing that if you don't mind. "So how is your 4.8is running?" LIKE A RAPED APE! haha. Well thats good, preventative maintenance is always cheaper than finding a busted motor...
