Almost 600K before light came on

She almost made it! Went 595K's before the reserve light came on. Best ever in non-highway travels (mostly 50-80K per hour speeds).

She's a 2005 4.4. Anybody with the 8 hit the 600k mark before the light comes on (non-highway travel)?

I average 480 miles per tank @ 70mph on the express way ( assuming there's no traffic )

I do the run between Coppell TX (northwest of Dallas) to Spring Hill FL (20 min north of Tampa) with 1 gas stop, 1100 mile trip (on GPS, NOT odometer, the odo shows more distance then actual). I usually have around 60 miles range showing when I complete the trip. Keeping it under 75 mph is the trick. That and I ALWAYS add 10 oz of Lucas Upper Cyl Lube to each tank of fuel.

i thought the Standards International (SI) units kept K for kilo(1000 multiplier), kg for kilogram and km for kilometer - so the title should have said 600 KM or 600 km, not 600 thousand...

I thought that somebody hit the 600,000 miles on the clock in the X5... even 600,000 kilometers would be impressive...

I have 4.8iS and from a tankful to next tankful i easily pull 380-400 miles... in kilometers, about 600 km... on the highway... city is much lower...

Well... well... I tanked up my 3.0 last night, and the BC tells me it'll be 609 miles (974 km) before I'll need gas again... and I ALWAYS believe whatever my BC tells me...

I get 430-500 miles per tank in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex commutes depending on whether I'm running the air conditioning or not. I've left the CONSU2 value alone for the last 150,000 miles and it shows an average of 19.2 miles per gallon and that figure includes 3000 miles of personal watercraft towing each year.
