Update: (if anyone else has a similar issue)
Replaced the rim (found it to be out of round, but that alone never caused an issue) I would recommend swapping (rotating) wheels first, that would've solved it for me right then. I ended up having to use a spare wheel before replacing it with another oem one. But tire and/or rim can cause an awful lot! If you think about the geometry in turns, a little off balance or bead/belt separations can do wonders.
