O2 Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 2 Sensor 1) apparently. Will see if I can gitterdone tomorrow. So why do I say "Yay!" you ask?

Looks like my speaking calender might be filling up soon.... so will have the $$ to do repairs, maybe even upgrade to the 3.0d or 4.6, hehehehehe *rubs hands together*

Yes, those are on top of the exhaust manifold (which are pretty easy to get to/change). I would change both of them with that mileage. I changed all 4 on mine not too long ago, the post o2 sensors where a bitch to remove/replace.

Now that the hood is working again, I went in and saw that the wire was bent and loose. I could see some of the insulation. So I shoved it back in, and the CEL is gone. Still going to replace it, of course. The parts should come in today

Make sure you get the pre-cats sensors. You need to rent/get O2 sensors socket to do the job.
Bank 2 Sensor 1 is the one on the header for cylinder 4-6. 2nd the recommendation to replace both pre-cats O2 sensors.

To remove the sensor just get a regular socket, cut the pigtail to the sensor and place the socket onto the sensor and with a good ratchet or breaker bar just give it a twist.

You can probably rent the socket with the slit in it from a local autopart store to install the new sensor. Put a little ant-seize so that the next time you need to replace the sensor it will be easier to remove.

Or you can use a crow foot wrench if you have the right size.

Good point about the pigtail. Looks like Princess Auto has it. May as well buy it, since I know my next car will be an X5, too.

FYI: Bosch O2 sensors already have anti-seize on the thread. Be careful not to contaminate the sensor with it.
