Airbag reset needed in Adelaide SA

Hi guys, I have recently acquired a fairly tidy x5 that just had a few minor things need fixing. One of these things includes the left front door handle, the airbag light has been triggered as a result of me reconnecting the battery whilst the airbag was removed to test the door lock which had been sticking.

I am now stuck with the notorious airbag warning light, is anybody on here from Adelaide, South Australia that has an airbag/srs clearing tool?

You're probably better off posting this to the Australian Forum. If you go to the home page and scroll down, it will be there. Most of the people on this side of the forum are from the states.

Mate, your dealer will do it for you, and if they are any good will only charge you the minimum labour fee (1hr is pretty much std).

Mine did a bunch of coding changes for me for the 1hr fee.

Might save you a whole lot of mucking around.

I just picked up P.A 1.4.0 software of ebay for $24us from china. This will allow you to do your own coding and clearing of fault codes. I turned on a few features that were off and found a few problems that have not yet triggered the cel.

Is the software operated laptop or do you require a specific tool?

You receive software disk, hardware cable and adapter plug. The soft ware is loaded onto a laptop and pluged into your car. The software does not like newer windows. On utube look up PA 140 bmw. There are several vids on using and installing. This is the one i bought Scanner V1 4 0 Programmer Never Locking for BMW 3 5 7 Series x3 x5 SUV Z4 | eBay
