What is the fix for puff of smoke and wailing sound when started

Hey Folks of the board!
I have searched and read and read and searched on the topic of the 4.4i puff of smoke when accelerating after a bit of idling.

Here are the details -
- does not smoke continuously
- did oil change
- changed PCV valves (those 2 red caps thing at the left and right of the engine)
- did a LiquiMoly engine flush

So all can seem well for a bit... no smoking.. then puff ! i get a lot if i am idling in slow traffic and then pull off..

I do not think that this is the valve seals or else it would have been continuous, right?

SOmetimes when i start first time there is a whistling/wailing - sounds like a loose belt...

If i turn off and restart it goes away.

Please... help

Some people say VCG ( valve cover gaskets ), some people say VSS ( Valve stem seals ).. I just use 5w40 and keep feeding it for the time being

it is really embarrassing to pull off and leave a huge cloud of smoke behind you..

Yeah use 5-40w, once you get it it'll only go downhill until you do the seals.

Ive tried quite a few different things on mine and ive gotten it to where i wont really notice it almost at all during normal driving and stoplights, just after little more extend idle.

sounds like a plan.

how about waiting in a fast food line to order? say, about 8-10 minutes of idling and inching up.... then pulling off after you get your food... any smoke?

Yeah.

But mostly if you accelerate quicker. If i know ive been idleing somewhere for longer then normal ill pull away very easy on accel and itll come out extremely faint then good to go.

Don't know about your driving habits but how about a full bottle of Red line fuel treatment in a full tank of premium fuel and an hour drive?

that one bottle isn't going to do ANYTHING for you.... i've put 100's of bottles of "fuel treatment" in with no change in the situation!

BAD BAD BAD advise
