For a road vehicle, slotted rotors. Cross drilled rotors can be prone to cracking.

I'd say cracking can result from constant abuse on the track not street...I had zimmermans cross drilled on my e38 with no problems...it's all about the look really...

I'd pick one or the other but not both. Less surface area you take away the better.

Slotted rotors.
Not on my iS, but on the Tit.Silver //M5 When I need new rotors for the iS, they would be slotted too.

The most noticeable are the slotted and drilled.

Thx guys I think I'm leaning towards slotted for now
Gotta sleep on it Def not both ...not really wanting more holes and crevices than rotor surface

Alright, the brake light along with the check brake linings message came on right before my 600 mile trip I took this past weekend to eastern washington..drove it like that since the front pads were still good...rears are shot..
Went online...ordered 4 stoptech slotted cryogenic treated rotors from Tirerack ...free shipping...580$ Zeckhausen have them too but about 50$ more per rotor... http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/...oducts_id=9066 https://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brak...6&autoModClar= Next up...pads..was looking for cool carbon pads but of course they don't make them for the 4.8is. Ive heard axis deluxe work well... Akebonos great for low dust and noise but not so good stopping power... So really, what are you guys running on your 4.8is..?i understand nothing compares to OEM pads as far as the initial bite go but that stinkin' dust is driving me nuts...I've washed the car today and 40 miles later I could wipe the dust off and leave marks with my fingers...really annoying if you ask me.. Sensors will get from the dealer since they aren't too expensive. Thanks for helping with choosing the rotors...now just a little help with choosing pads please.thanks all!
