Removing Rear Glass
Have had my rear windows tinted recently and am no happy with the quality so have decided to have them re-done The tint guy says the best way to get them tinted is to remove the glass from the rear doors ( the bits of glass that go up and down) and tint them out of the car. Can anyone point me to a guide that details how to remove the glass as the tint guy is not sure Thanks All |

I'd recommend getting a different "tint guy". I think it's totally unnecessary to remove the glass. The guy who did mine did pop the door panels so he tint below the line, but even with that, he just had to loosen them and not even take them off all the way. I don't see how he could have done any better if he removed the glass... GL!

What happened with the original tint job?
As X5Jay says, door panels are removed so that tint can be applied all the way to below level of rubber seal on inside. Tint can be removed (laborious), and tint can be re-applied over previous film, say if you want to go darker. But leave the windows in the car! Let us know what transpires, Cheers,
