ALL SEASONS OR SNOWS?
I know this has posted before but looking for more feedback. Size 255-55-18
tires in snow...anyone use all seasons with good luck in snow? My snow tires seem to not last so long and I'm debating to going all-season Yoko's in the the snow...

Beaten to death topic
There have been so many posts on this topic as each winter comes. In MA what are your Expectations?
3", 5", more? Fresh snow ? Must get to work regardless every morning? Live in the snow belt? Dedicated snows! Wait until the plow goes by, all seasons may get you by 90% of the time without too much effort.

What StephenVa says. The Conti DWS all-seasons on mine did fine in 'snowmaggedon' here in ATL last winter, but I'm sure dedicated snow tires would do better if you are in hilly country in western MA and deal with icy/snowy secondary roads in your normal winter driving.

get snows no comparison. the all seasons the rubber gets hard in the winter = more sliding around. as with winters the rubber stays soft therefore more grip. end of story.

Also winter tires have jagged cuts in the tread blocks. These jagged cuts will open as the tire flex from hitting the ground. These jagged edges will grip slippery surface much better.
