Here's a pic for you from my install. It does scroll the text if it's too big to all fit on the screen. There does seem to be a maximum length for the ID3 tags, but it seems to be reasonable. Real long one just see to get truncated.

I have never been able to get mine to work. I have an 02 with NAV. I need to take another look into it, maybe there is new sw now.

Here's a couple of pics for you:
The text will scroll when it is too long to fit the screen, you will get Artist/Song Title information on the screen when music is in play.

Turn the key to the on position and select your CD Changer. Once you are in this mode, plug in the iPod to the Active Cradle or Docking cable. During the warning screen, the firmware version can be spotted by looking at the number in the top right corner of the iPod. Let me know what you have and we can continue from there.

I went ahead and used the v2-2B2 as Ucrew suggested and everything worked out well and I can view text. I appreciate the functions of being able to control my iPod menus form the Nav screen, however it seems as I no longer have the capability to control my music with my iPod interface (I like having this option, as going through 30GB of songs w/o scroll wheel is pretty tough). I am hoping that I have merely over looked something, however I have cycled through the menus quite a few time with no avail. Please help!! |

The NAV dial will get you to just about any song you want within seconds, or you can choose the song you want to listen to on your iPod and connect it to the ice>Link while playing and it will pick up from that point.

There is an easy way to get control back to the ipod, but if you do, you wont get text display on the computer again.
You just press FastForward, then disconnect the Ipod and then re connect it. The get the computer back in control, just select disk 6 again.
