IMO, it depends on the 'issue' and if they really are fixed down to the root causes.
Body of data? Probably not. LOL. But the idea like you said is assuming that the issues are fixed down to the root cause. Also most issues with the EGR, SCR and DPF systems arise from usage patterns and kinda get compounded due to the failure to identify and fix some other related issue. Short trips, faulty thermostat leading to clogged DPF etc. So the lesser the issues up front and knowing that your usage patterns with the 50-60k miles have caused no issues, it is a good enough extrapolation on longer term reliability I guess.

My point, which you now seem to support, is that it isnt just 'events prior to 50k' but rather the TYPE of events

Look Im not going to cheer-lead for or against anyone buying a car or selling a car. I dont care one way or the other.

Oh I don't expect any cheer leading either. I made my decisions and I'm comfortable with it. I was responding to TriX5 on his comments about buying a highlander. I don't think I ever "not support" any of your posts in this thread for me to now seem to support. I've read other threads and you make some good points ard.
