Thanks for the advice! That's just about what I had in mind. I have a family member (out of state unfortunately) that exclusively installs window tint on very high end cars (Lambos/Porsche/ & other exotics). He recommends for the X5 (since his wife also drives one) that I install Sun Tech CXP 35% tint on the front windows and 18% on the rear windows, along with 3M Crystalline at 70% on the windshield. He says that combo looks great while also helping UV protection. Plus unfortunately (due to work) I recently relocated to Texas where they sometimes tend to be pretty strict when it comes to window tinting laws compared to AZ where I moved from.

Thumbs up Finally installed the wheels and tires!!!

WooooHoooo! Finally made my first (semi) major mod yesterday to my wife's recently acquired (yet used) E70 and went forward with the installation of some new 469m dealer takeoff wheels and tires that were acquired from a new F15. I love the way they look! Especially from the rear because the 315's look like you mean business when people pull up behind you.

With the addition of an x-pipe, black grille, and tinting the windows (just for now). I'd like to think that would help create the all around mean look and sound that I'm seeking from the 4.8 that I'm wanting to piece together for the family ride. All doing so, without going too over board in the case I decide to turn around and resale it soon in order to get a newer X5 for the wife. All men know the saying "Happy wife... Happy life" lol.

However, I'm now extremely tempted to lower it just a tad bit while not ruining the ride quality due to having a 3 week old baby always in the back seat. Knowing that I'm still new to the E70 community and not sure how lowering works with the airbags etc. What say you guys? I've seen an old post before that mentioned the option that allows people to code the ride height of the rear airbags for us E70 owners with the 3rd row option that come with airbags from the factory. Any recommendations on who or how I could have this done for me? Will it eventually lead to more problems down the road such as having to replace the airbags or other suspension parts prematurely? If any members on here have done this with there rides I'd very much appreciate to see some pictures of the difference it makes and if it's worth it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Looks good, not sure about the ride height but how much did the rim tire package cost you?

Thanks for the compliment! Thanks to a family member he was able to get these brand new take offs shipped from AZ to TX for me at a smoking deal that came in under $2,000 for everything plus the sensors from the F15 which I will now attempt to sell if anyone is interested?

Here's an easy mod to get rid of the "yellow angel eyes look". I installed the Hellst XRT V5 head lamps in about 10 minutes in my 2009 X5.. They're a little less cost than the Lux brand and come with a 2 year warranty. Very easy install!

Would you say they're as bright as the Lux lights?
