Replaced my throttle actuator today and starting to think about the alphabet delete so I find this thread very valuable!
Keep going
Throttle body/anti-shudder valve normally fails due to being soaked with oil coming down from intercooler. The oil gets into electronics of it. Deleting won't help there.

Orion Diesel has an EGR delete kit that also deletes the ASV. Talking with multiple tuners and they can disable the ASV function at the same time.

Why I ultimately decided to keep the ASV in place and just order a standard EGR delete is as a fail-safe in case of a runaway caused by a blown turbo.

I didn't even think that removing the throttle actuator was an option.
When it failed, I started getting the particulate filter error (as I understand it, the failed throttle actuator prevents regen) which is why I started looking into the DPF, SCR, EGR delete options.
Can someone tell me what the difference in installing the straight pipe kit vs using a just a down pipe?

I opted in for Buzzken pipe and DOC (extra$300). Doc helps cut down smell and reduce turbo whistle.

Happy with this setup. Yes, there is still some smell (example, stopping, parking and walking out you can smell minor diesel exhaust smell), but not nearly the same as would be without DOC from what i hear.

Exhaust, with stock muffler left in place, sounds nice and throaty. Reminds me of my brother's Escalade stock exhaust.

So since doing the delete and tune i noticed an oil consumption issue which im going to have to trace when the weather gets warmer, but what oil does anyone reccomend i currently use the bmw diesel. I know that oil is ok but geared more towards dpf and scr health

I had it done remotely.

Small increase in power and boost pressure. Major improvements to overall drivability and power delivery. Dmitriy said it’s completely new from the ground up and not just an iterative change.
