Trailer Hitch Options for '12 xDrive50i M Sport

Have a '12 xDrive50i M Sport and need to install a hitch / receiver for a bike rack. Two hitch install places that I called today told me that the M and M Sport X5 models require special hitches that they do not carry. What are any of you using hitch-wise for a '12 M Sport X5?

This board must be new with no pre-existing threads about hitches.

All e70s use the same hitch. They all mount to the car at the same attachment points. There is nothing special about an m sport other than the shape of its bumper. Which may require a slightly different bumper cut than other bumpers. There are threads on this, I've statred several, about towing experiences. I had no issues with the oem hitch getting it installed on my x5m which does have a different bumper.

I've had the same bitch installed on my 4.8i and x5m. The BMW Oem hitch. The only difference is the trim piece you use for the bumper cut, which is not included with the kit.

Invisihitch doesent require cutting, but it is a very limited hitch for towing since it's not a receiver hitch which prevents you from using weight distribution and antimsway hitches.

I have a Curt on my 2012 50i M-Sport. It's a smaller cutout on the bottom side of the bumper cover and the receiver fits flush with the bottom of the bumper cover. Great for bike rack but there is no mount for the trailer plug. I had to weld a bracket for the electrical connection and mount it facing straight down through the bumper. The receiver is lower than the OEM hitch so I have more rise on the hitch.
