Sounds like the best option. FYI I have an '08 as well (4.8i) with half the miles you have 94K--think I need to drive it more.

Generally- with virtually few exceptions- any warranty you can buy for a ar that has 73k and is no longer under a warranty will be (1) very restricted, (2) subject to very strict and oppressive claims interpretations or (3) both.

Carmax and Hendricks are the two exceptions.

All other warranties iver come across- perhaps 100 over the years- seem to be very hit or miss, especially for serious issues. (ie throw a rod through he block and they do an oil analysis and declare 'wear analysis shows this was a long term issue'. Or the inspector says they did an analysis. You are SOL.

But many people say "well for 2500 its better than nothing". When in fact is isn't.

Its 2500 less to save for repairs.

^Completely agree with the above assessment. 3rd party warranty companies are terrible. Hated dealing with them at the shop.

How are those sensors $1500? Run as fast as you can from whatever shop quoted you that.
