Aside from informing various systems in the car when you plug in a trailer, it assures that you won't fry expensive BMW electronics, (or worse case set the whole damn car on fire,) when you hook up a trailer.

BMW X5 Trailer Hitch - Hitch Warehouse

Now the factory wiring harness and module was painful.. $441 after tax, but I don't want to mess with the wiring and want the factory hitch zoom feature.
Any duty? Gonna order there if no duty or locally for 330$ all in

No duty, it comes from Calgary.

Great price, I think it was $300.02 exactly after tax and shipping if I'm not mistaken.

Cheers

Did it arrive ok?

Before you install it I'd recommend you hit it with a few coats of this:

$12 at Home Depot.

Every hitch I've ever owned has rusted in a years.. I think this may help prevent.

Thanks for the advice.

Yes it arrived 2 days after I ordered it, going to take my truck in to get my idler pulley replaced so will have my guy install the hitch sametime. My truck came with oem hitch when I bought it so I have all the coding/wiring etc on it. Bolt on and go at this point.
