Side rearview mirrors acting up

My side rearview mirrors are acting up. The side to side movement doesn't work but when I press on the mirror it works for a bit before ceasing again. This is happening on both sides. Any suggestions or recommendations. The indy tried cleaning with compressed air but didn't work. I was thinking of spraying silicone lubricant however don't want to take a chance and damage something in there. Appreciate any experiences/opinions.

Thanks

Happens on both sides, could it be the switch? Did you pop the glass portion off and get a look behind them?

Not sure if the mirror can be popped, from what I have seen one can remove the plastic trim facing the front giving access to the motor. Plan is to give that a shot.

Thanks

Mine popped off then there is a connector for the heated glass. Lift up the bottom and "pop"..... I put the Blind Spot glass in mine on the drivers side.

Not my video but this is what I did.
