To each their own, but I'm a sucker for factory wheels on BMWs. Aftermarket wheel styles just don't look right to me.

Have you checked these guys out? They are local to me. Free shipping in the lower 48. https://www.hubcaphaven.com/c/700/bm...eels_rims.html

I prefer machined and silver painted wheels myself. Also agree that OEM wheels typically are some of the best options. We are rocking the OEM 20" style 597 on the e70. There are a few rare exceptions (gold on white cars for example). These Forgestars on my e53 are the darkest wheel I could ever get. They are a brushed charcoal.

These are the style 597's.

The color of the wheels or how the wheels sticks out and lined up to the fenders? It may have spacers installed. I have 25mm rear and 20mm in the front.

OP, what color is your car? I agree with the above that silver pops better on lighter cars while darker can go either way. A few years back I decided on some style 433s that only came in gunmetal and on my white body, the two tones just didn't go together. After trying to live with it for months I decided to dip them back to "bright aluminum" but brake dust is tough on plastidip so I settled on black. I actually like them a lot more now. Especially because - no more brake dust shows.

Same. The wide look goes a long way on the E70. I catch myself staring at others when they do the same.

Hi rh71,

I also have some 433s (my winters) for my E70, and really like the way they look in black.
I may have to copy that look if your OK with it...

Thanks,
John

The White/Black contrast works well. For brake dust, if the pad/rotor combo you have creates a lot, there's some great products out there that will clean that off fairly easy and keep those wheels looking new. (no scrubbing required on a maintained wheel)

Just a side note... looks like you have (had?) a bit of residue from the exhaust, especially on the passenger side. Any issues with your X?
