Does your E70 make Odd Noises when Everything is quiet?

So we are new to E70 Ownership, coming off of 10 good years with an E53..

Was noticing the other day when I had the radio off, sitting still at a traffic light, some odd motorized noises coming from within the dash, sometimes accompanied by some soft clicking/clunking noises..

I initially thought it was just the HVAC redirecting air around, but I have heard it several times now, and not so sure..

Normal?

Also noticed after shutting the car off, if I don't get out right away, I will sometimes hear similar noises, as well as clicks that sound like old school relays..

And last night I got out of the car, Locked it, but didn't walk away immediately, and a short time later heard similar sounds from under the hood area?

Starting to worry about stories I have heard of these things spontaneously combusting..

Normal or possessed?

Two things I had with simillar issue:
1.
compressor pump when my front spring broke trying to compensate for it
2. something at the back of the engine which I can hear when I open the bonnet. I was told it is vacoom pump?

It's normal on my 35d, stupid though because you can't sit with the radio on for long because the computers like to stay on for a while even with key out.

I never really hear anything while driving, but there are some various noises like you describe after shutting it off and while walking away. I figured they are mostly HVAC related, and I think there is something for the screen that clicks after 30 seconds to a minute. If you are watching the screen closely (even when off) there is some sort of change that happens to it when it does that click.

I think there are vacuum related noises under the hood, and the SCR (urea) pump sometimes runs after shutting off the engine too.

His doesn't have the cd for the nav its a hard drive.

That said the hard drive could be going bad and that could be the clicking sound and motor like noises.

I changed mine out to an ssd drive to prevent problems and I have the original regular hard drive as a backup.

On the other hand there are more stepper motors and actuators in an e70's dash than are used in most entire cars.
