Thanks but I don't really want that excess hanging out in my cockpit. I will do without.

I use the torque app with an old iphone 5. I leave it in plugged even when it's parked for a few days overnight and haven't noticed any issues with it. Though, I rarely check the temps now since I've noticed temps only went up idle or low speed and the fans would turn on. So the fans kinda signal me to keep the car moving until water cools down before shutting off. i have a thermometer for 2 rooms and a carbon monoxide alarm. am i a maniac? lol

oil temp, water temp, trans temp, diff temp, boost..intake air temp... BMW engineers seem driven to separate drivers from the machine. Go figure |

Drove my moms loner 25k gti and it had a digital readout for oil and water temps. Guess we have to get the M car next time.

That's because the buyers today for luxury cars tend to go for stupid gadgets and the style/prestige over actual substance.

They want to keep you coming back to the dealership so they can "diagnose" your idiot light issue.

And even when one of their cars do have a temperature meter, it suspiciously sits dead center between the blue C and red H. It worked like clockwork: five minutes into the drive and there it was. Vehicle was a 2019 540i xDrive. Nice car but a stupid one, too.
