Exhaust question for 4.8 motors
Did BMW have different mufflers for the e70 4.8's ? Now i had to fool my secondary O2 on bank 2 because of the efficiency code i got. i'm wondering if my Cat is maybe blocked a little? Truck drives fine and no codes.

are you both original owners?
A holesaw on an extension can dramatically change the sound of a muffler... |

No but I’m guessing it’s oem. I’ve done work on both like, valley pan gaskets and valve cover gaskets.

Like I said, someone can run a holesaw into a OEM muffler and make it a 'performance' muffler- not a sign outside it was changed

Ok, but today i took my truck out for a hard run, and after that my engine sounds throaty again and responsive.
i just went to start it now after its cooled right down and it sounds quiet again and lazy. No errors, or anything. I have the Reingold BMW setup also and not one DME code anywhere. i give up! Do all 4.8's sound throaty when cold and hot?
