Parts available overseas?

I’m in Taiwan for a couple weeks & curious if there are parts I could get here vs. CONUS? A set of Euro mirrors would be cool as an example. Does anyone have that part # handy? I’ll probably be back in Athens in January also. Driving X35D, 2010 140k, tunes & deleted.

Any part number you need...just look them up in one of the online part databases. Input the last 7 digits of your VIN to get specific parts for your model/model year/market. But if the part you want is not listed for your market...then select for your model/model year/build date etc...but select for the European market for additional offerings.

If you're not familiar with any online part database sites...below are 3 of my favs...feel free to save/bookmark them for future reference:
  1. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select
  2. BMWfans.info
  3. https://bimmercat.com

Exactly, though can probably find the Euro-mirrors via links.

I was wondering why?
I know they do make a lot of aftermarket body styling bits n bobs in TW ... but the quality ... Hmmm 🙄

I’m pretty sure that the USA is the one of the cheaper if not the cheapest places to get OEM BMW parts especially as the majority of the X5’s are made there. I know for a fact that most parts are more expensive here in the UK, 20% VAT doesn’t help either!

Way back in the 90’s I was able to order any part I needed (Euro or otherwise) from a USA dealer in Vegas where I was staying for a while ... as long as you have the part number they can order it ... might take a few weeks but I never had a problem ... have they changed their rules?

Just remember when ordering things like side mirrors that the UK (or any RHD country) has totally different offsets on the mounting body, if you order UK ones you will not be able to see out of them!
