Remove Front Bumper Trim 08 model

Ciao: Following the instructions on my repair DVD, I'm seeking help on removing the front bumper cover (AKA "trim") Item # 10 in image.

I've remove all of the fasteners detailed, and next step to to pull in the forward direction and release the 4 (four) 'catches' shown in the image below. The trim is free and released from the wheel arches. The trim has moved about 2mm forward below the headlights, but refuses to budge further.

Removing the tow eye covers, I can gain some additional force with two fingers thru the hole(s) in the trim, but I'm stuck.

Has anyone first hand experience they can shed on how to overcome the 4 'catches'?

Thanks,
DC

Hmm, not sure. I'm pretty sure it should pop out (maybe with some force). I haven't taken it off but I put it back on and there's nothing else holding it. Make sure you actually did get all the fasteners - there's one on either side of the fender liner that are kind of hidden, the four tabs below, and the fasteners up top.

Thank you. yes, all fasteners removed: 8 across the bottom, 2 on each end (inside wheel arches) 5 across the top.

Still looking for the Knight in shinning armour, to save the day.
Ciao, DC
