Where is the USB Hub Control unit located? 2008 X5 4.8
Issue is my AUX is working, but the USB port has no power nor is it selectable from the idrive. (my car has the 6FL USB interface option). Some suggestions are that the USB hub can go bad which will cause this, and swapping is easy, so it must be accessible in a way that doesn't require the center console to come out ![]() Any pointers appreciated! ![]() |

You remove the gear shift selector...some trim, a few screws...its under that.
Not the whole console According to the TIS, I havent done it myself |

It’s under and slightly to the rear of the I-Drive controller. If I remember correctly you also have to remove the console storage (not the whole console) to remove the USB hub.
Which USB are you having trouble with? The one in the glovebox doesn’t connect to the hub. It goes straight to the CIC. |
