Access for torquing subframe bolts

I made the mistake of asking this in an X5 Facebook group. That went about as well as you can imagine.


I'm trying to torque down the control arm to subframe bolts on the rear of my E70. I can't fit my torque wrench between the bolt and the obstructions (parking brake cable on the eccentric bolt, a cable keeper on the other. How are you guys getting this done? Specific type torque wrench?

Usually with a torque extension. Looks like a weird wrench that you put on the torque wrench and offdet the actual torque wrench 90° and a couple inches.

The other option I've used is an actual wrench, a tape measure and an inline scale.
