That's great news! Any word if any other options have any delays? I need to call on mine, I have all options except the HUD, 3rd Row Seat, DVD, and Active Steering.. so I hope the others don't cause any delays.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, except I did order the HUD. I also passed on the 20" wheels -- I think the 20s look great, and I 'd get them in a heartbeat if I were in Florida or SoCal; but I not only have to deal with snow in the winter, but plenty of poorly maintained roads, gravel roads, even some dirt roads. (And then there are the potholes... I know a guy who drove into one and came out walking.) So I was afraid the 20s would get bent, and that's not a cheap repair; so <sigh> 19s it is.
I didn't ask specifically about delays on any option, but I'll call the 800 # and see what they say. I've read posts here and elsewhere about sporadic shortages on this or that item, but nothing confirmed. |

On here, I had heard something about the black perforated leather possibly being delayed, same with the 20's, but haven't heard anything recently, need to check with the 800#.
I know what you mean with the 20's. I'm in NY so also have similar concerns, but can't pass them up, they look to good. I'll get winter wheels and tires. I learned my lesson on a 3-series I had that I drove in the winter, bent 3 out of 5 (including spare) wheels on potholes, not fun when it came time to turn in my lease. |

I would think the 19's would be fine, more sidewall to protect them... Not sure how they'll be in the snow.

I hope so. IMO the 20's tires are just too low profile for these streets, I also don't want to change to winter tires so i hope the 19" all seasons work ok although they are really too wide for good snow traction, we'll see next winter.

I'd expect that's about what you'll get "ok" traction in the snow with the 19's as long as you have all-seasons or snow tires. I had all-seasons on my FX45 20" wheels, was not great but not as bad as I expected for 20" wheels. The 18's I have on it now with snow tires are much better obviously, and just as wide as the 20's, but with 18" snows also come more side wall and tread. I'd guess the 19's on the X5 have about as much sidewall as the 20's on my FX (they're not as low profile as the 20" y-spoke on the new X5), so I think you'll be ok if you don't want to swap wheels or tires for winter.
