I thought the X5 model year started in Oct/Nov, at least thats when the MY07 was released.

I've been harrassing my rep for days now... still waiting to close the deal on the 08!

as soon as you hear anything... let us know!

so far I'm told they will honor the same price as a comparably equipped 07. Even if the price goes up a bit!

And I have this in writing!

In NY they seem to be a bit more flexible... many 07s with low miles left in the lot. Could be returns from earlier versions experiencing many of the issues reported here on the forum.

Hopefully the 08s will have most of the bugs worked out...

Oct/Nov is ususally when they start showing up at dealers. Since you can no longer order an '07, the pricing for the '08s is ususally published around mid-August.

It's mostly the same.

The pricing for most of the models came out yesterday on Bimmerfest. The X3, 3-series, and 7-series have no price change. I expect the E70 X5 will be similar. 6-series has facelift and corresponding price increase.

What about the options? Will we get the diesel? And if so which one?

^ the million dollar question. I don't know about you, but I'm going to bed with the word 'turbo' on my mind.

It's pretty much confirmed the regular diesel is definitely coming though. The X3 has it already announced.
