twin turbo diesel in Oz

Hi,

Firstly I did not post this in the Australian thread, because I didnt think it would get relevant responses and a sufficient audience to help answer this question.

But any one know when or if this is confirmed for the Australian market...??

word is UK may get this in March 08... will we too...??

Production of the twin turbo diesel has been delayed with no firm dates confirmed yet (at least in the UK). It was supposed to be Q4 this year but seems like Q1 next year is more likely. Engine shortages is the problem which is also effecting the regular 3.0d too apparently though not as badly. I believe the UK is being given priority for the twin turbo due to the new emissions tests here.

I think both the petrol and diesel twin turbo units are in relatively short supply across the BMW range.

For £2k more than the 3.0d it's actually a very good deal...dare I say it a "bargain". You get upgraded brakes and the "titanium" grill included. When you think just getting someone like DMS to chip the 3.0d costs £750 it looks very good value.

They haven't updated the configurator though which given that the M Sports are actually being delivered is absolutely rubbish.
