I had the stock tips, painted flat black, with a ceramic coat, took out the muffler, replaced with Sebring catalytic converters and removed the resonators. I must say that if you like hearing your 4.8 roar this is definitely the road to take. But don't think obnoxious either because on regular city driving the exhaust note if very affable, its just when you step on itm do you feel the V8 kick in, very pleased.

as i wait patiently for my order i'm researching a few options...

these are what i found so far....

I believe you can go as far as 6-7 inches... but 5 is perfect!

won't know till i get delivery and can take the right measurements...

i like the last one too!!!!!! so you think it wont be a problem to overlap the current exhaust tips on the 08 model since they have chome tips on top of the std tip.. dont forget the 08 vs 07 exhaust tips are different.

i believe the difference in 07 vs 08 3.0si tips is they're now chrome...

and i believe the inlet is 2.5... the last one should fit nicely... but can't know for sure... i plan to take the chance when my x comes in..

can't seem to find anything else out there...

i'm really looking for a dual round outlet tip that bolts-on and doesn't stick out as much!! that would be nice!!
