Aerodynamic Kit, Plastic Bumpers, & Plastic Pieces Painted

I will take better pictures over the weekend(with the vehicle washed), too busy during the week, this was just for a quick post to give everyone an idea how it looks like. Paint shop did an outstanding job, perfect color match and the paint job was done so well that people cannot tell what was painted.

What was painted: Aerodynamic Kit, F/R Plastic Bumpers, Wheel Archs, Door Moldings, & Side Steps.

Next Mod:
1. Debadge
2. Matching Color Roundels (Been ordered should be here within a week or two). - Completed on 02DEC07
3. Vizualogic or Invision Headrest DVD System (Still deciding, but leaning towards Vizualogic. Any input from you all would be greatly appreciated and it will be installed sometime this month). - Completed on 26NOV07
4. 22" wheels 2 or 3 piece design (Hopefully by December, if not January/February).
5. Eisenhaus sport exhaust system

Update 1 (13NOV07): Please Help! Anyone know how to remove the arm rest console (if that is what you call it), that is where you suppose to tap for power with the headrest monitors. Anyone also know how to remove the back plate of the seat, since I will be routing wires from the headrest post. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update 2 (26NOV07): DVD Headrest System is about complete. Everything is now functional, only thing to do is mount the control module. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Why I went with Vizualogic (Information below is from my experience and my opinion only, I am not here to offend anyone that already has Invision System or the representative of Invision here on X5world, I repeat this is to share my experience and opinion with the X5world community):

1. Looks.....you can see and tell the difference for yourself, this also depends on the looks your going for.
2. Cost.....a bit cheaper I believe (I did the install myself so I saved on labor too).
3. I Read up on a lot of reviews and called many stereo shops and they chose Vizualogic (who knows if they get better pricing or cut back from the manufacturer and that is why they chose Vizualogic, just for thought).
4. Size of the headrest, did not want something too big, it is a slightly bigger than the OEM headrest, but nothing where it is noticable, it looks like the OEM headrest (I found this out from another X5world member, I forgot who, but thanks for the information).
5. Color match is great, it is pretty identical to me. I am very satisfied, I will purchase from them again.
6. Features are identical, features listed below:
  • FULL FUNCTIONAL REMOTE CONTROL
  • BUILT-IN DUAL CHANNEL INFRARED TRANSMITTER FOR WIRELESS HEADPHONES
  • ON-SCREEN DISPLAY (OSD)
  • WIRING IS CONCEALED IN THE HEADREST POSTS
  • 2 WIRELESS DUAL CHANNEL INFRARED HEADPHONES
  • UP TO 4 INDEPENDENT SOURCE SELECTIONS ON EACH MONITOR
  • BUILT IN TOP-LOAD DVD PLAYER
  • BACKLIT FRONT PANEL CONTROLS WITH AUTO DIMMING
  • USER SELECTABLE BUILT-IN WIRELESS FM MODULATOR TO SEND AUDIO TO THE VEHICLE RADIO.
  • INTEGRATED GAME/VIDEO PORTS ON THE FRONT OF EACH MONITOR
  • INTEGRATED STANDARD HEADPHONE JACK ON THE FRONT OF EACH MONITOR
  • ON-SCREEN CONTROLS FOR THE DVD PLAYER
  • MADE FOR IPOD
7. Customer service.....This part I do not know yet, hopefully I do not need to contact them regarding the system, but if I do I will let you all know how they treat their customers.

Any other questions, just let me know and I will try to get back to you ASAP.

Update 3 (07DEC07): Matching roundels completed on 02DEC07. It is installed on all roundels: Hood, Engine Bay, Trunk, Wheel Caps, & Steering Wheel. It is a pretty good match, easy to install, but is it worth $20 + shipping, I think they should sell it cheaper.

Update 4 (22JAN08): In decision right now to which wheels to purchase. (http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...ou-choose.html)

Update 5 (16OCT08): Wow, it has pretty much been 9 months since I went back on x5world, time flies! I hope all is well with everyone and as you can see, all modifications have been put on hold, hopefully I can get back into it when things start to slow down, but as for now, I have uploaded some pictures that were taken by my Wife.....Enjoy!(Pictures had to be resized as you all already know) / Some of my wife's work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30253026@N07/

Thanks for all your input, greatly appreciated.

That looks pretty awesome. I am planning to paint the same thing like yours too, but still undecided. Can you take a close up pix for the f/r bumpers, door moldings, and fender flares?

Thanks.

Finally got it back! Thanks for the pics, it looks great man. I think you need to put the y-spoke on the car... black ones would look even better. I'm gonna sell my black y-spokes and I'm in L.A. so shipping/pickup wouldnt be a problem. Congrats on the mods. Are you considering the wider flares? The painted wide flares made a really big difference on my X.
