questions for zaino (or other polish) users

i tried zaino on my month old x5 yesterday, and it does make a (slight) difference. I want to use zaino on a black car of mine and see how well it works. since my e70 is space grey, it is more difficult to tell the difference.

here are my questions:

1. if i wan't to add another coat of zaino, do I have to wash my car again, then apply the new coat? does washing the car remove the existing coat of polish i have on?

2. i bought z2 (8 oz car polish), zfx, and a 16 oz bottle of z6 gloss enhancer. on the zaino website, it says that 16 oz of z2 car polish will be enough to coat a corvette 20 times. this means that a single car requires 16/20 = 0.8 oz of car polish. it also says on the website that the polish must go onto the car 'hazy'...thats where my problem is. how are you only supposed to use 0.8 oz of polish for a single car, and get it all hazy??

3. has anyone used zaino's "leather in a bottle"?

today i also had some problems with my music system. I have mp3s on a dvd (data disk) and i have them in the 6 disk dvd changer in the glove compartment. i drove to work, there was no problems with the volume. then after work, i tried to the music back on but nothing, so i went to radio and that worked fine. went back to dvd then it worked.....anyone faced this problem before?

thanks for the replies in advance....

thanks from india

lol

apply a thin coat of polish and wait a couple minutes to see if it dries to a haze. then take the microfiber cloth to wipe it to a shine
Zaino can be applied (especially if ZFX is used) right after the first coat. If i remember correctly,

wash, put polish on, gloss enhancer wipe down, polish again, gloss enhancer then polish again. no more than three coats though i believe.

you can always email the guy who sells the stuff and ask him.

Anyway I was thinking of getting some of it for my 4.8 space grey but if you say it doesn't make much of a difference then may be I won't.

Please post some pictures if you could. Thanks

By the way, does it bead or repel water really well?

thanks and good luck

mp3,
Well, I'm a Zaino user, advocate and fan; I use it on all 3 cars and my 3 motorcycles and
I have never used a better-for-me and my-taste "wax" in 45 years of waxing cars.
But, others will like what they like...

1-You can keep adding coat(s) of Z2 again and again. I would wash the surface before
additional coat(s), to make certain you aren't laying down a coat on top of surface grit or debris;
thus, the need for wash. No, it does not take off the previous coat.
2-I know their pitch on "usage" and "coverage", which I feel is a reminder to use it thinly, evenly
and sparingly vs gobbing it on. I don't think I could do my Vette 20 times with one bottle; I do
try to put it on gently and thinly, however. I wouldn't worry about using it and not getting 20
jobs worth, however.
2A- the "haze" is the effect one sees when the recently applied coat has dried thoroughly: it is
a hazy effect. As soon as it hazes, (happens more quickly in hot weather), one can remove it
with cotton towel or t-shirt.
3-I have a blt of their leather stuff, I used it a few times, I am not a fan; I don't dislike it but
I don't think it's the best out there. I think Spinneybeck is the best, but most leather
cleaners/restorers/sealers are better than not using one on occasion, imo.

Can't help you on your mp3 stuff...
My 2Cts is up.
