No experience with them but the 20" staggered are too wide. The rears are 315, right. They'll be like sleds. You need narrower tires for the snow.

I'll be going to all season 20"s next winter, as these 214s are going to be my winter wheels. Hopefully they'll come out with 20" snows next season, as more and more SUVs are coming out with 20s.

michelins and the toyo proxes are the only ones that are rates as all-season with some level of light snow traction...
most reviews i've come across have rated the toyos better in the rain and light snow... i'm swapping out to them in about two weeks... don't think there's anything else out there...

I would wait until next season. We don't need snow performance anymore (knock on wood!) and the OEM Dunlops are good in the rain and dry. Tire companies are always coming out with new tires, and I would suspect that they'll be releasing more 20" options in the near future.

My 3.0si is riding on the 20" all season mich latitude tours. They performed well in 2-3 inches of snow. No slippage at all. I live in N. KY across the bridge from downtown Cincinnati and we were slammed with a blizzard 2 weeks ago. I took a drive in my neighborhood in 5 inches of snow and had no problem plowing through the snow at 40-45 mph. I will definetly buy them again when its time to replace them! Let me know if you have any questions. |

Can someone describe the tire pressure monitor sensors to me? If I'm swapping out the old ones into the new tires, is it something that's plugged into the inner end of the new valve somehow? Is it something "free floating" they toss into the tire before mounting it on the rim? The only thing I really know about it is that it wirelessly sends a radio signal to the computer. Nothing in the manual or even many internet pages describe it in more detail.
