Got a question about the Nav system (X5 2008)

Hey guys, I live in Mexico and sadly there's no dvd for sale out there with a map of mexico for the gps of my X5, still, I don't need it that much, after all, I live here and dont go out unless it is to the USA which is about 2 hours from where I am (I am way up north, in Monterrey)

I went to navteq.com (thanks to a a recomendation in this forum) and ordered up a dvd with the maps of USA (just in case i wana go in some serious road trip or whatever)

But I am slightly dissapointed with the Nav computer ... it only lets me input directions. no places at all! I can't go lets say. "red lobster in las vegas nevada" I would have to look up the adress of the red lobster I want, then input the adress and save a bookmark... its kind of.. you know... crappy?

Anybody knows an easier way around this?

You want the "Information" subcategory instead of Navigation.

From the Idrive main menu, go to Navigation... then the top menu items will have Navigation, Onboard Data, Trip Data, etc. then if you scroll further to the right there is Information. Use that and it will let you input criteria such as zip/state and also the name of a restaurant for that area if you like.
