Sand streaks/flaw in windscreen glass

Since day one with my 08' 4.8i, I always seem to have a streak in the glass, towards the bottom, almost in the middle. I clean and clean with microfiber glass cloths, strong German glass cleaner and I always have it. If the sun doesn't hit the glass just right, then I don't see (so out of sight, out of mind). But when the sun is just right....it drives me crazy.

So today, in the garage I used a strong LED flashlight on the windscreen glass. Sure enough, there's about a 6-7 inch long streak (about 1/2in. wide) in the glass. Looks like unblown sand/silica. I guess when my windscreen was made, some of the glass didn't melt???

Don't know if I should complain, and have to turn the car into the dealership mechanics/butchers...or just learn to live with it, as a car quirk (like we have moles or birth marks

Anyone else with glass defects, beauty marks??
