Scoring on the rotor is not good. I would inform the dealer.

i have the same thing on a front rotor... but have not had any strange feeling while braking.... should I just leave it be for now? is it really a big deal? i only have 5,000 miles on the car.

if they think they can blame it on foreign matter getting stuck between the disc and rotor they won't cover it at all

if it's from the pad having a hard chunk in it and you get it to the dealer before it wears away they should cover it provided the brake pads are genuine regardless of whether the rotor is out of warranty or not, because it's a defective part causing damage to the rotor

In the US the brakes/rotors are covered for the first 4/50K no matter what happened, they would be replaced (foreign matter or not). Coverage in other countries may be different.
