Good choice, Eibach has a solid reputation of quality products here in Europe.
But I checked on their site and have seen that these springs are made for X5 E70 3.0si only.
Are you sure it will match your X5? 3.0sd is quite heavier than 3.0si.

Eibachs previous springs for the E53 fitted the 3.0i and 3.0d aswell as the 4.4i. I presume these springs for the E70 will fit the entire range too.

For information, for European E70 X5 models, there are 2 Pro-Kit models homologated, one is for 3.0si, 3.0d, 3.0sd (lowering front 30-40mm and rear 25mm), the second for 3.0si, 4.8i, 3.0d, 3.0sd (lowering front 30-40mm and rear 15-20mm).
So there are great chances you're right.

I wonder why the amount is different for the front and rear. Previous version lowered the front and rear equal amounts - 1.2 inches (30mm).

Up to 40mm for the front seems extreme. I hope it ends up being 30mm only.

Good remark. They are different kits and part numbers. Maybe it is a requirement for getting official homologation? You have to know that the american version you purchased is not homologated. I don't know if it is a problem in US.

i dont know if Australian X5s are European or American version. We have European specs ie TV, clear indicators, no reflectors on bumpers etc but the TV wont display picture unless in Park which I believe is an American configuration?.
