I changed my order, now I'm regretting it...
In the end, I decided to keep the 20's because I can't get over how good they look and got rid of the comfort seats. I justified it thinking the sport seats will be enough of an upgrade. Now, of course, I'm regretting that decision and think maybe I sould have deleted the 20's and kept the seats - primarily due to the lack of winter performance of the 20's. Anyone else go through this mental anguish? Are the 20's going to be THAT bad in the snow? |

Keep both! If you think about it, it's only a savings of a little over a thousand to keep one over another. Plus since your leasing, your really only paying a portion of that (not the actual entire amount).
You'll be able to enjoy the seats everytime you drive and the 20" are just too nice to give up. Just my 2 cents! Good luck with your decision. |

I have both. I didn't order mine, as it was on the lot. Had I ordered, I probably wouldn't have had the 20s. Now that I've owned mine for a little over a year, I am glad I have both.
The comfort seats really make a big difference to me. The 20s distinguish my X5 from all of the others I see without 20s. I do not find that the ride is harsh, and the noise is non-existent. I do not, however, like run-flats. (Mostly because I cringe at the cost of replacement.) But, it is a $70K vehicle. Joel |

I have the comfort seats, but not the sport package. They're fantastic seats, although I regret not getting the better-looking wheels, because the 18s with run-flats don't give the most comfortable ride in the first place. I agree with the others--go with both, you won't regret it.

the 20' is crap in snow. I am in Michigan. gone through 1 winter with 20' Dunlop Summer Tire. Never Again this winter, i am swaping out my 20' for 18' winter tire this winter. Comfort seat and sport package is a must have

The 20's are going to be a no-go in snow any deeper than a heavy frost! You will probably need to pony up for some 18's or 19's with a narrower tire.
Between the poor winter weather performance and the price of replacement tires, I'm sticking with the stock 19s on our 3.0si |

go both, you will regret it otherwise
if i had a choice, i'd ditch the 20's as you can upgrade wheels easily but not the seats!!

Ditch the 20s, and do it yourself afterward so you can get all-seasons instead of the summer-onlys.

Ditch the 20s, keep the seats. As far as I know, 20s will give you too much headache - cant use them in winter, gotta avoid potholes (ie no trips to NYC !), wear off much faster, etc.
On the other side, comfort seats is something I wished I've ordered myself. I have the sport package, so the seat is good as is, but I wish it had adjustments of the comfort seat.
